Educational Background:

Barath ML’s journey began at the School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University in Chennai, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture. He then pursued his Master of Architecture at the National Institute of Technology in Trichy. These experiences have instilled in him a deep appreciation for the tactile and the tangible, the textures and the light.

Incubation and Recognition:

In 2023, Barath ML immersed himself in the interdisciplinary environment of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, exploring the confluence of architecture and business. His dedication has been recognised with the Startup India Recognition in 2022 and the Indian Achiever Award in 2023, honours that reflect his commitment to creating meaningful work.

Professional Experience:

Barath ML’s professional journey includes thoughtful stints at NUDEs office in Mumbai and The Architecture Story in Chennai. These experiences have been quiet meditations on the essence of space, materiality, and the relationship between buildings and their surroundings.

As the founder of Hotelcom Private Limited and ML & Associates Architecture Office, Barath ML leads with a vision that architecture should be a serene and thoughtful response to the world around us. His work is rooted in creating spaces that are both humble and profound.

Teaching and Mentorship:

Barath ML is devoted to nurturing the next generation of architects, teaching at the School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University in Chennai. In 2023, he shared his insights on "Entrepreneurship in Architecture," guiding students to explore the deeper meanings and potentials of their work.
